Newton County E-911 operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from our dispatch center in Decatur, Mississippi. We provide emergency communications for law enforcement, fire, and EMS services across the county, serving over 21,000 residents with reliable and professional service when it matters most.
Newton County E-911 serves as the primary public safety answering point for Newton County, Mississippi, handling emergency and non-emergency calls and coordinating response efforts for agencies across the county. Our center works closely with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical services to ensure calls are processed efficiently and responders are dispatched without delay.
Our telecommunicators work 12-hour shifts on a rotating 3/2 schedule, with two dispatchers on duty at all times to maintain continuous coverage. In addition to dispatching for Newton County, we also provide EMS dispatch services for Jasper County. Through strong coordination and communication, our team is committed to delivering reliable, professional service to the communities we serve.
